[LPIL - Board of Directors] March BoD Meeting

All,

After discussing the matter with several other people today following my
motion withdrawal, I am introducing a new motion as the withdrawal was a
bit too rash and sudden.

1) Motion to appoint Jim Humay as Deputy Director - Chicago and
Cook/DuPage County of the Political Division.

RATIONALE: The Political Division guide, as amended in 2022, does allow
for the consideration of dividing up deputy directorships, as well as
candidate recruitment directorships, by region.

I think Jim has a lot to prove and has the potential given his political
resume. Despite his caucus affiliations, it would benefit this party
significantly. But given the leviathan that is Chicago and Cook/DuPage
County, that's enough of a battle for one person, moreorless assisting
in matters across the entire Land of Lincoln. He would be best equipped
to helping our largest established county in the state and the largest
city in the state. Should DuPage County become an established county,
Jim can carry on those responsibilities to that county as well.

My remarks in my initial rationale still applies.

*NOTE* (but doesn't need to be in motion): I may have accidentally
misconstrued some prior communications of support in the past 48 hours
as concern, and I have been called out on that following my initial
withdrawal. That's on me. That's my fault, and I deeply regret that.
