That’s my issue Mr Longstreth. I feel like I have no idea what this is really about. On Wed, Jun 17, 2020 at 7:58 PM Richard Longstreth via Lnc-business < lnc-business@hq.lp.org> wrote:
I feel like I'm missing something here. On the surface, I don't see the problem with sharing the recording, that's why it exists, for reviewing the record.
I have no idea what the policy manual violation may be and I missed the meeting so I have no opinion on that. In general, I am not sure that it is in the party's interest to keep something from the executive director except under very specific circumstances where they are the subject of investigation. Especially as it relates to the convention, is staff not helping with that and, by that logic, since the ExDir supervises staff should they not have access to all information where staff duties are discussed and delegated to ensure that employees are performing to expectation?
I welcome more information and re-emphasize that I have no clue what all this is about.

The Executive Director viewing the recording seems like a reasonable request to me.

Initially I only wanted to see the software demo, but when that was blocked I asked someone who was there why, and then became aware of something the policy manual REQUIRES me to investigate. Actually, I believe all members of the LNC are charged with enforcement of the policy manual.
If nobody thinks anything happened that should be reported as a violation of the policy manual, then I would like to confirm that.
I would assume that an LNC member concerned there was an ambiguity would err on the side of caution, so I just need to confirm the conflict between many people saying that nothing happened and the other report that I now have. Having worked in an administrative position for many years, I believe it's very important that matters like this be handled directly.
I am baffled by the idea that I think there is something that must be investigated and being blocked from doing so, especially since this was a meeting ALL LNC members were invited to. I reiterate my call for access to the recording.

Can’t you just confer with the CoC?

Mr. Fishman why do you need the actual recording rather than just asking the CoC the information you need.
