Request to extend application deadline

The applications for open committee slots closed on Dec. 15. Given that we're not making selections until the January call at the earliest and probably after that, and given that the applications haven't yet been distributed to us, I'd like to request that application process be reopened and extended until January 2. Ive had two messages from people where the deadline snuck up on them. It'd also give us all a chance to do one last push for applicants as well. JBH
