[Lpk-execomm] Motion to authorize funds

I believe that second moves us into discussion.

I agree it would be ideal to have LPKY on there. I believe the buttons
are already being made. When I asked for the mockup and quote there was
a miscommunication and the order was already placed. I’ll take the
blame for that one. I could fundraise for it if we have issue with no
mention of LPKY being on there. I would say that if it had our party on
it the legislators would probably balk at wearing them to committee
meetings though. I’m hoping the button could be handed to each member
during credentialing and mentioned during the Excom update at
convention which will hopefully help get us credit for “doing
   something”

   Thanks!

   Andrew

   I will second.

Is LPKY funding this entirely, or are others also funding the same
button? I ask only in that if this is LPKY-only we should probably
put an LPKY logo on it. It's it is a joint effort, it might be good if
there was a place to go for the KY-specific effort that would list us
as a sponsor. Just wanting to be sure LPKY gets marketing out of our
support; that people know we're supporting it and putting our funds
   behind our support.

I'm not going to hold it up, but I'm all for making sure we get credit
for our work, so people can't do the "LPKY doesn't do anything" line
when, in fact, we are doing things.

   All,

I'd like to motion for $300 to be spent on defend the guard buttons. A
member of the party has agreed to procure the buttons at cost for us.
The cost of 100 buttons was ~$279. I'd like these to be available at
convention for all attendees that would like one and the remainder to
be given to the sponsors of the HB81. The logistics of getting them to
Frankfort would need to be worked out but I think giving the buttons to
them with a note that we are available for anything the legislators
pushing this bill need would help our cause. The picture is attached.

   Thanks!
