Hello everyone,

Attached is the flyer from the kentucky historical society. My
intention is the state excom gets to review it and the pricing, so we
can have a motion hashed out by our 5/19. Other expenditures after this
one will need to be approved but I feel it better to go ahead and get
this one out of the way.

It should be noted before getting pretty set on this location, I reached
out to the paul sawyer library and they said they don't book further
than 60 days out. Which is too tight of a window in my opinion. I
looked at the pricing of berry hill. It was VERY high. Other places
like the capital plaza hotel and in downtown frankfort don't have as
much dedicated parking. We could also consider hotels on the interstate
but I think for optics being downtown is the best look.

After conferring with other members of the oversight committee, we
believe the best value would be to rent out the klotter classroom from 8
am - 5 pm on Friday Feb 24 and from 10 am to 7 pm on saturday Feb 25th.
They do not rent on sundays. That would cost us $1215. They also said we
can bring our own food.

Note: If you're having trouble viewing the attachment like I sometimes
do. Click download instead of trying to straight open it.

Good afternoon Charles,

We do not have any specific caterers or require an event to be catered.
Bringing your own food should be fine! If you do choose to have a
caterer, they must be fully licensed and insured. Attached to this email
is our rental booklet with preliminary pricing and our application. You
can fill out the application virtually and return it to me at your
convenience. Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Thank you,

Mallory Kreilein

Did You Know ... that KHS's smartphone application, ExploreKYHistory
[3], now offers 50 tours? Each tour combines KHS collections with the
stories of community-driven historical markers to create a historical
tour of the Commonwealth.
