[Lpk-execomm] We don't need to raise $100, 000 to be in a gubernatorial debate

The League of Women Voters of Kentucky will sponsor two televised
debates. The first on October 15 in Lexington and the second October 26
in Louisville. (https://lwvky.org/).

"League policy requires that candidates be invited to participate in
general elections if they qualify to be on the ballot and have five
percent or more recognition on nonpartisan statewide polls. Should
another candidate meet that requirement, he or she would be invited to
participate."

John Hicks has cleared the first requirement. Since we won the suit in
Federal court against HB 114 he and Ann and three other candidates will
appear on the ballot.

How can he achieve at least 5% recognition on nonpartisan, statewide
polls?

I contacted the League of Women Voters. One of the polls they think
they watch is done by University of Kentucky, but they weren't sure.

To my knowledge there has been only one Kentucky gubernatorial poll
since the judges ruling in our favor. But our candidates were not
included in that poll conducted June 11-12 by Gravis Marketing.

We need to make sure that John Hicks is included in any/all future
gubernatorial polls in Kentucky.

How do we do that? Got any ideas? Got any contacts?

Looking forward to tonight's ExComm conference call.

In liberty,
