[Lpk-execomm] Data sharing with campaigns

Ken,

Are you saying that the LPKY has purchased data, but our campaigns can't
use them because our NDA only covers the CRM database? What's the fix?
Do we need other NDA's for other data?

Why did LPKY pay for data that campaigns can't use? We only have 100
dues paying members. One person could re-key all of that data into the
CRM in a matter of minutes. I volunteer to do it. The 10,000
Kentuckians who are registered with SOS as Libertarians are another
matter.

The Executive Committee told our 2019 candidates that they would have a
very valuable tool, the CRM, for their 2019 campaigns. But they don't
that tool and time is running out for this election cycle.

Our gubernatorial campaign has been trying to raise money, but is
stymied by LPKY's inability to provide basic information for phone
solicitors... among other things.

Clearly, the LPKY Executive Committee needs to address the obstacles
that hinder accomplishment of the party's primary purpose, "... to place
Libertarian candidates on the ballot and assist them in achieving
electoral success...".

When it comes to politics, we may be our own worst enemy. The
Hicks/Cormican campaign needs to raise $100,000 by September 6th to get
into the 5 televised, gubernatorial debates. Professional fund raisers
have not even begun. They are waiting for us to give them data and/or
the green light to begin. We are not yet ready.

All of the good efforts of our volunteers to participate in statewide
events are for naught if we can't raise money for our candidates'
campaigns.

I hope we are learning a lot about the difference between our intentions
and our abilities from this experience.

In liberty,

Lex
