[LPIL - Board of Directors] Resignation from National Ballot Access Committee

All,

I submitted an email to members of the LNC Ballot Access Committee shortly
after midnight, citing that I will be resigning from the committee effective
1 a.m. CDT on Thursday, June 2. An hour before that, my membership with
National will expire, as I have no intention to renew due to my lack of
faith of this new alt-right, authoritarian, anti-liberty National
administration.

My biggest regret on the committee is not being able to go to bat for
Illinois more when the BAC decided to not give Illinois any ballot access
funds for this 2022 petitioning season. I did, however, fight hard against
giving any money to New York, in which they failed to meet any benchmarks
set over a five-week period of their drive. (Because if anyone needed it, we
did.) I still maintain the belief that now they should not get any money at
all, and after the new administration takes over, they likely won't see a
single red cent.

I had a rotten feeling that we were going to get screwed over in 2022, and
it will likely be the case in 2024. When it comes to ballot access funds,
we're now on our own. We will NEVER see another dime from National, not in
2024 and not ever until this new regime is ousted.

It also undermines the six years of painstaking, thankless work that I
busted my ass for this party since 2016. I sacrificed A LOT for this party
since I became LPIL Political Director in November 2019. Blood, sweat, and
tens of thousands of tears since the end of the 2020 election cycle, just
trying to help our potential candidates for 2022.

It's a thankless role with not enough thanks from people in this party. Some
just think I'm just a keyboard warrior or a desk jockey. People don't
realize that when I was working in the media last year, I was making and
taking calls relating to candidate inquiries while on the clock. I didn't
care about the consequences from work - spoiler alert: there were none
because the corporate owners at the Daily Herald are too spineless and do
not have a conscience - because I wanted to run more candidates than what we
had in 2020. That goal was not met or surpassed for 2022, which I regret.

If anything relating to ballot access fundraising in the future, we should
be targeting any and all high roller donors to the LNC and poaching their
donations, because we're the only party that matters. Not a single red cent
should go to National if we're not going to see anything in return.

My term was to expire in January 2023 anyway, but I cannot and will not in
good conscience work on that committee under the McArdle administration.

I've spoken my piece. If you want more out of me, call me.
