[LPGa Executive Committee] Modifications to Policy Manual

Hey Team, 

I wanted to send out some motions I'll be making at our first meeting on
April 8. I want to make some additions to the Policy Manual. Please let
me know if there are any changes you'd like to make to the verbiage and
we can talk through it prior to the meeting. For the changes in context,
please see the suggestions currently in the document:

Any numbering changes seen in the document above are what I will go
through and suggest at the time of #1 below being approved. It should
make it easier to reference. 

1. ALLOW MINOR SYNTAX CHANGES WITHOUT A VOTE:

> MODIFICATIONS
> 
> MODIFICATIONS OF SUBSTANCE
> 
> Any modifications which change the meaning of a policy outlined in this policy manual must be approved by a majority vote of the Executive Committee. 
> 
> MODIFICATIONS OF SYNTAX
> 
> Any modifications that do not change the meaning of a policy outlined in this policy manual may be made with approval by both the Chair and Vice Chair. These types of changes may include grammatical errors, punctuation errors, or numbering.

2. APPLYING TITLES TO VARIOUS COMMITTEE CHAIRS(OR ALLOWING THEM TO
APPONT) FOR LNC STAFF SUPPORT PURPOSES:

> The Chair of the Communications Committee shall hold the position of Communications Director or may appoint someone to such a position.

> The Chair of the Membership Committee shall hold the position of Membership Director or may appoint someone to such a position.

> The Chair of the Fundraising Committee shall hold the position of Finance Director or may appoint someone to such a position.

> The Chair of the Outreach Committee shall hold the position of Outreach Director or may appoint someone to such a position.

ASC = Affiliate Support Committee

> The Chair of the ASC shall hold the position of Field Development Director or may appoint someone to such a position.

> The Chair of the Candidate Support Committee shall hold the position of Political Director or may appoint someone to such a position.

> The Chair of the Public Policy Committee shall hold the position of Policy Director or may appoint someone to such a position.

> The Chair of the IT Committee shall hold the position of IT Director or may appoint someone to such a position.

3. APPROVED STAFF SECTION:

> APPROVED STAFF
> 
> EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
> 
> DUTIES
> 
> The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs, and strategic plan of the LPGa. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. The position reports directly to the Executive Committee. 
> 
> COMPENSATION
> 
> Compensation for the Executive Director shall not exceed ⅓ of total revenue for the year. 
> 
> FUNDRAISER
> 
> Any number of fundraisers may be hired with approval by the Chair. 
> 
> DUTIES
> 
> Organize activities to raise funds or otherwise solicit and gather monetary donations or other gifts for the LPGa. May design and produce promotional materials. May also raise awareness of the LPGa's work, goals, and financial needs. 
> 
> COMPENSATION
> 
> Compensation for fundraisers shall not exceed ½ of all donations elicited by said fundraiser.
