I disagree. We are supposed to be a part of principles. Our principles should not depend on what somebody else did or did not do. They should stand alone. And my comment was just one example of something that could be cut to make this more concise.
I can’t support putting something like this out for public consumption because it takes to long to get to the point. I supported in concepts, but this is not something I would want to present to the public. We already have very little chance that anybody will read anything we put out this has even less of a chance of being read.
So I think you need to decide what the point of the resolution is. If you want to go after hypocrites then go after hypocrites. But if you want to show support for the Financial Sanity Act, then focus on that.

The LP has to go after hypocrites with respect to the financial issues; it's the main "in" at the federal level - I can prove if necessary
Perdue ran on the financial issues; he has voted opposite to what he campaigned on, largely to keep Trump and the GA Trump lovers happy
Sequestration would have meant spending cuts
The more things that we can do to help whoever goes up against Perdue in 2020, the better

I’m sorry that you don’t like my feedback. But you’re putting this up for a vote by Excom so you are going to get feedback on it. If you don’t want feedback, then go ahead and post it on your own blog under your own signature or issue your own press release as a former Senate candidate. But I’m not just going to blindly pass a resolution that I don’t think is a good idea. If you put something up for a vote you’re going to get my opinion on it. Sent from my iPhone

I'm with Christine on this one. We should not pass or publicize this as-written. But I know it can be tough to separate/critically edit one's own work. @AB if you'd like, I can reduce and streamline this into something more suitable for the committee to review. As an Executive Committee, we should be putting together more resolutions like this to help signal our stances on specific issues as they arise, let people know of possible solutions, and also as a critique of current office holders. Part of handling this as an organization should be discussion, edits as needed, and then communicating it out once passed. In my view, the resolution is welcome. The critiques are welcome. We just need to get it to a place where we feel, as an organization, happy with the message we're putting out and put it out. --- In Liberty, Ryan Graham Chair, Libertarian Party of Georgia On 2019-10-14 08:48, Allen Buckley via Lpgaexcomm wrote:

I don't think that anyone is saying that the resolution overall is a bad idea, it just needs to be streamlined. My initial reaction to it was that I got about a third of the way through it and then decided that I didn't have time at that moment to devote to finishing it and would have to come back to it. I think that will be the reaction of most people. In the technical writing field, the standard is that everything should be geared toward an eighth-grade reading level. That is because you do not know the educational background of your reader. People who cannot comprehend legalese still vote and we still want them on our side. The resolution is a good idea and I agree with Ryan that we need more resolutions. Saying that it should be more concise and easier to read is not a criticism of the overall resolution.
--- In Liberty, Ryan Graham Chair, Libertarian Party of Georgia

I disagree. We are supposed to be a part of principles. Our principles should not depend on what somebody else did or did not do. They should stand alone. And my comment was just one example of something that could be cut to make this more concise.
I can't support putting something like this out for public consumption because it takes to long to get to the point.
