Please do not purchase plane tickets for any LNC meeting until Robert Kraus confirms we have a contract with the hotel where we plan to stay. Therefore, please do not purchase plane tickets for the November 14-15 meeting yet. My advice on this is just free advice. Someone, please help us remember to remind the LNC when it comes time to decide each meeting that people should not buy their tickets until we confirm the location. We have had to change cities in the past based on failure to find any suitable places in a particular city--usually because some major event is happening that drives up costs in a particular city. Wes, Sometime in the future, could someone on the staff let me know what the staff and meeting costs were in our DC meeting, and the projected staff and meeting costs of the upcoming Orlando meeting and when then LNC meetings are held out of the DC area, what do we do to keep those costs down? There was some recent discussion on this, and I thought it might be useful for future planning to know this information. Also, thanks for the delightful LNC meeting in DC. The main reason the meetings are cheaper in the DC area are that Robert Kraus and I don't have expenses for flights and hotel since we live here. We save a few hundred in shipping supplies to the meeting too.
