Good morning LNC, I want to let you know that we had a very well attended Virtual Donor Summit this past Saturday evening where we invited our top 100 active donors to participate in an interactive discussion on the ways that the LP is looking toward developing in 2020. We had approximately 20% participation rate including the full Chairman's Circle and Select Benefactors list. Some LNC Members were on that invitation list and attended, however I would also like to provide *ANY* LNC Member interested with a full recap of what was covered. I have blocked off this evening at 6pm ET for this presentation should that be available for you. If that will not work we can connect to find a time I can individually go through details with you if there is interest. Polling in Zoom

How will the powers-that-be know who is seated as a delegate at any given time when sending out polls during the meeting? In other words, if there are people in Texas's 146-person delegation who are processed as alternates, but are serving as delegates, how will the people sending out the polls know this? If the polls are only going to only those who were on original delegate lists, but some of those don't even bother to participate that night, how will we make sure the polls are going to the alternates in their place? I am talking about the polling during business....not the balloting for P/VP nominations.

don't miss second part of the rescind motion

I keep hearing people say that my motion would "put us back to square 1," which didn't make sense to me. Some that I have talked to today are completely unaware of the second sentence in my motion. It's NOT just a motion to rescind. It chooses a location and a date instead. So I'm re-posting it in all its glory, and please don't stop reading before the second sentence. This is what we are currently voting on, with the vote ending on Wednesday night: "Motion: Rescind in its entirety the motion adopted during the May 9, 2020 LNC meeting, which called for a convention to begin on May 22, 2020 with business conducted online. Instead, in accordance with Bylaw Article 10.1, the LNC calls an in-person convention to occur during the dates of July 8-12, 2020 at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida. " I'm not sure how this confusion happened. Whatever the reason, wanted to clear that up. -Alicia

Dear All, A Libertarian Party united behind a strong candidate can win the 2020 Presidential election. If members of this committee can work together to get that candidate nominated as soon as possible and then focus on the work of the election, our party can take advantage of this unique opportunity. If they raise objections and obstacles to giving this decision to our national delegates as soon as possible, or cast doubt on the legitimacy of that nomination by convention, they make it more difficult to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
