Seeking Co-Sponsors - Alternative Compromise Motion

Without amending the decision to call an in-person convention to be held in Orlando, FL at Shingle Creek, held from July 8th through July 12th, LNC will hold a binding preference poll. for the Presidential and Vice-Presidential nominees only from among the delegates in a manner that mimics those outlined in the Convention Special Rules of Order, Rule 10. The LNC agrees to be bound by the decision of the delegates and will fill the vacancy under Article 14 Section 3 as the delegates have willed, and submit that to the in-person convention for ratification. Zoom Meeting Feedback

At least a couple of delegates didn't know how to raise their hand at the beginning. Need to let them know to click on Participants to get the Raise Hand, Yes, and No buttons. I called all questions, but we voted on only the immediate question and then continued debate. Need a way for privilege motions/points of order. We really need the current motion/amendment written up on a screen somewhere. Suggest having a consistent amount of time from the chair calling for the vote to announcing the final vote count. Maybe 10 seconds? If I take a drink each time the next speaker says, "can you hear me?", I'll be drunk before the end of the day. -- Tim Hagan Treasurer, Libertarian National Committee

Seeking cosponsors - convention motion

I ask for email ballot co-sponsors for the following motion to: Rescind in its entirety the motion adopted during the May 9, 2020 LNC meeting, which called for a convention to begin on May 22, 2020 with business conducted online. Instead, in accordance with Bylaw Article 10.1, the LNC calls an in-person convention to occur during the dates of July 8-12, 2020 at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida. I know that I was on the losing side of a 13-4 motion on Saturday, however after tonight's train-wreck and the information I learned during it, I believe that some LNC members from the other side are ready to change course. If I did not believe that to be the case, I would not offer this motion. To preserve options for the LNC, given the 7-day voting period for an email ballot, I want to start this motion now so that it can complete by next Wednesday. I will have a LOT to say about this soon, as will others, but my first focus is getting the co-sponsors. A vote on the ticket and the ticket alone with them tallying their votes and the national party staying the hell out if it until time to count. THAT IS WHAT THE COMPROMISE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE. Last minute motion switches at the 5/9 meeting and the Chair’s maci actions to make it more are the problem. The solution is to stop this vain charade of the chair and to GIVE CONTROL TO THE STATE CHAIRS. I’m not on FB but I hope someone who is posts this in one of the groups. Do not misrepresent me as abandoning the compromise. Rejecting the circus is not rejecting the compromise.
