Richard has done a fantastic job of updating regional information on LPedia
for Region 1. As LPedia grows and the structure fixed (it was a hot mess
before, still working on the restructure) members will increasingly rely
upon it as a central resource. Keeping your reports and other regional
documents there gives you a central reference space.

At the request of the Convention Oversight Committee, I am seeking
co-sponsors for the following motion:
The Spring 2019 LNC meeting will be held at the Austin TX JW Marriott
the weekend of April 6-7, 2019.
Robert Kraus has confirmed that the convention room rate of $139.00 will
be honored by the hotel for this meeting and this weekend is well before
the Passover/Easter/Mother's Day holidays and after the conclusion of
March Madness! As we have the past several conventions, the COC will
use this meeting as a walk through of the various facilities for the LNC
for the upcoming 2020 LP National Convention.
Thanks for quickly co-sponsoring and voting on this motion.

I've become convinced we have a partially misplaced focus - ie ballot
access and running candidates which is an endless merry-go-round repeated
for decades now.
We should be adding a third prong nationally and that is getting alternate
voting practices - I believe that is perhaps more important (but at least
equally important) as the other two and this should start to be a regular
focus of our goals along with more strategic alliances.
We had our informal goals discussion - I ask for members to now join me in
calling for an e-meeting to set them.

LNC,
Thank you to the representatives that participated in the planning
session for 'Membership Week' on Monday evening. We accomplished the
preliminary planning process and it was very productive.
Please mark your calendar for 'Membership Week,' which will run from
11/7-11/14.
The goal of 'Membership Week' is to recruit individuals that voted
Libertarian this midterm cycle to become a member of the LP. The
campaign will be purely digital and will have very little, if at all,
cost to the LNC.
Rather than an overall goal of recruited members, we will have a tiered
goal with an incentive for each goal that is reached. I am soliciting
your creativity in developing these incentives. For example, when 100
members have joined or renewed during membership week, a special
announcement or message could be revealed. And so on for when 200, 300,
400, etc, members is reached.
Since 'Membership Week' will be purely a digital campaign, the focus
will be on video content to convey stories from the 2018 election cycle
and reasons people should join the LP.
Please let me know if you have suggestions or ideas. All input is
appreciated!
If you would like to participate in additional planning, please let me know.
Many thanks to those that have already contributed! I greatly appreciate
the help.
In Liberty,
Jess

LNC,
I included in the Membership Report that a Membership Week (11/7-11/14)
is being planned. I was inspired by NPR's membership week campaign and
I look forward to our first attempt at a Membership Week.
Alex Merced has offered to help me with a brain storming session for
this effort. I would like to invite the rest of the LNC to join us in
this brain storming meeting. We will meet on a Zoom web conference at 9
pm ET tonight. I apologize for the late notice; however, we are getting
this off the ground as soon as possible.

This IS a state by state issue though, and I know North Dakota is

about it? Why is it happening?
1) Some of Caryn Ann's messages are coming through twice.
2) there is a ton of stuff at the end of our emails...lists of links,
copies of previous messages, etc...this is maddening. What can be done
about it? Why is it happening?

Good Afternoon,
I have been asked by several folks involved with our campaigns in
NH to make a motion to the LP Attorney, asking to investigate the NH
Debate exclusion of LP Candidates as potential "In-Kind" Donations to
the allowed participants from the R-Party and the D-Party. Mr.
O'Donnell expressed his intention to recuse himself from that matter, as
a Candidate for U.S. Congress who is affected by this matter.
