2020 Convention Materials

All, We have all 3 hotels coming in to present on the 2020 Convention site. During the meeting we also have the budget to concern ourselves with so we are going to have a lot of "reading" leading up to that meeting. The hotels are providing PDFs with their respective pitches. Would anyone like any "hard" documents "mailed" to them by the hotels? Email cutover

All - I am planning to do the email cutover next weekend over thanksgiving weekend. The current plan is to cut mailing lists over on Friday/Saturday and then Lp.org addresses on Saturday/Sunday. I will be sending another email to each of you with instructions and your credentials. You will be able to set things up ahead of time, and can ask me questions. For the moment, the plan is for non-LNC members to remain forwarders. This will probably need to change in the future. But this will get us through the migration. Ken

Alabama Race for US Senate

Posted at the request of the Rob Bishop Campaign: Alabama has an upcoming Special Election for US Senate on December 12th. Ron Bishop is an active Libertarian candidate, running a write-in campaign, with a “boisterous group of activists” behind him. This is an important race, that could shift the balance of power in the Senate, according to Jim Albea, Bishop’s Campaign Manager. The opponents are a “Bannon-backed” Republican and a Democrat, who is misplaced in Alabama politics. The Bishop campaign would like to hire a skywriter to write “Who is Rob Bishop?” over the upcoming Auburn-Alabama game on November 25th. This would tie in with the write-in campaign, and is an out-of-the-box approach to marketing. The estimated cost for this is $15,000, according to Albea, and is considered by the campaign to be a good investment, since this game is two weeks before the election, and watched by “every person in the state”. Time is of the essence for this, so I am putting it out to Region 7, in case any of you would like to contribute to this endeavor.
