LNC help with fundraising

At the September 20 LNC meeting, the subject of LNC members making phone calls to help raise funds for the national LP came up. I see two types of calls you could consider making. One is to current higher-level donors. For those not yet comfortable calling higher level donors, I had proposed you could get some experience making calls to expired members first. That way the stakes are lower and the pressure is lower. If you are willing to make fundraising phone calls, please send me a note, and I'll work on getting you started. I believe Bill Redpath already committed to making 10 calls per month and that's a great start. _*LNC Fundraising Training*_ A gentleman from New York, Larry Sharpe, offered to coach the LNC on fundraising. If someone would like to take the lead working to setup the arrangement between Larry Sharpe and the LNC, please let me know, and after discussing it all with Nick Sarwark, we'll see about getting the next steps going. anyone have missing historical membership data

I'm looking for membership counts each month from September 2002 to September 2003 to filling the missing points on the attached spreadsheet. Probably there's somewhere I could find this in old file cabinets, perhaps in the basement of the watergate where we have some old files still in storage, but I thought perhaps someone on the LNC might have old LNC reports with the numbers so I'm checking here first. Mr. DiBianca: I note that as of right now there is only one elected Libertarian in Travis County. I also note that there are a zillion special districts in Travis County: http://www.traviscountytax.org/goVotersJurisdictionInfo.do I was not able to find the election dates for the above districts, which **suggests** that at least some of them are non-competitive. I also understand that some of these slots might not be up for election next month. Are there any plans to try to match LP of Travis County members with these special districts so that your former county can add some elected Libertarians to the list at http://www.lp.org/candidates/elected-officials ? I am not singling out Travis County. I am just suggesting that many LP affiliates, including my own, could probably elect one or two additional Libertarians to public office by December 2016 if they choose the correct low-level races to run in. We need affiliates which are strong enough to attract libertarian minded, but electable, candidates to run as a Libertarian (as Kansas has done). If we and LNCC and the Kansas affiliate were financially stronger and able to back Keen Umbehr with a $500,000 grub stake, we would have a legitimate shot (one chance in ten, in a close race like this one, 35% wins it) at winning a governorship. If this is done two or three times each election cycle, the probability of winning a significant race becomes one in three. Over a couple of election cycles, you get a winner that will put a big hole in the "you can't win" road block that has been in our way for 43 years. operating systems for e-conferences

LNC, Those of us on the committee to work on e-conference rules have decided it makes sense for us to also evaluate potential host systems for e-conferences. Just looking at the first vendor, we realized we need to know what operating systems we need to support. Would each of you drop me an email to let me know: 1) Which operating system you use on the system you are most likely to connect with 2) What VERSION of that operating system do you use? Just saying "Windows" is not enough. Does that mean XP? Vista? 7? 8.1? 3) If you imagine yourself using a mobile device to connect at some point, what operating system would need to be supported?
