[Lpk-execomm] MOTION: Call Special Nominating Convention for Jefferson County / LPL

Gentlemen --

I bring forth the following time-sensitive motion, hoping for a second 
and a quick vote:

WHEREAS, the Governor of Kentucky has called a special election for 
State Senate District 37 on December 16, 2025, with a petitioning 
deadline of October 21, 2025; and

WHEREAS, the Libertarian Party of Louisville, our official Jefferson 
County affiliate, has requested authority to hold a Special Nominating 
Convention for this office; and

WHEREAS, Article VI, Section 7 of the LPKY Constitution requires the 
State Party Executive Committee to authorize such Special Nominating 
Conventions for offices with no nominated candidate;

THEREFORE, it is moved that the Libertarian Party of Louisville is 
authorized to hold a Special Nominating Convention on Sunday, October 
19, 2025, at a time of their choosing, to nominate a candidate for State 
Senate District 37.
