All --
I've been speaking with County Chairs about the issues they have been
having getting bank accounts. At least one is at risk of losing their
account if we don't act quickly.
Therefore I'm proposing this as a combined motion, looking for a second,
and a quick vote:
Motion 1: County Development Groups
Resolution Recognizing County Development Groups
WHEREAS, the Libertarian Party of Kentucky (LPKY) is the sole legitimate
affiliate of the national Libertarian Party within the Commonwealth of
Kentucky; and
WHEREAS, LPKY is committed to expanding its political presence and
organizational strength throughout the Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, duly credentialed Voting Members have successfully conducted
Organizing Conventions in the counties of Bullitt, Fayette, and
Woodford;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that LPKY formally recognizes the
organizations in Bullitt, Fayette, and Woodford counties as official
County Development Groups;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that these County Development Groups are granted
permission to use the name, brand, and logo of the LPKY, in accordance
with party guidelines;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that these County Development Groups shall be
elevated to full County Party status upon:
1. Establishing a checking account with a recognized financial
institution licensed to operate in the Commonwealth of Kentucky; and
2. Successfully filing all required campaign finance documentation
with the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance at the next required
filing date.
Motion 2: Jefferson County
Resolution Recognizing Jefferson County Party
WHEREAS, the Libertarian Party of Kentucky (LPKY) is the sole legitimate
affiliate of the national Libertarian Party within the Commonwealth of
Kentucky; and
WHEREAS, LPKY is committed to expanding its political presence and
organizational strength throughout the Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, duly credentialed Voting Members have successfully conducted an
Organizing Convention in Jefferson County; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that LPKY formally recognizes the County
Party in Jefferson County as the Libertarian Party of Louisville,
Kentucky;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Libertarian Party of Louisville,
Kentucky is entitled to operate using the Libertarian Party name, brand,
and logo of the LPKY, in accordance with party guidelines.
