All -
I know some people have already started working on locations, including
myself. That's when I realized we needed to get this list together, get
the options discussed together, and do this.
Chris has asked us to make it a priority to get the details locked down.
I agree with that. The sooner we have details, the sooner signups
happen.
Being on the National convention committee, I have a few ideas on how to
keep this list sane.
Email subjects can really help keep things sane and searchable. If you
want to propose a location, send an email to the list titled "Location:
Name, City". So for instance, if Paul Sawyier were being proposed, it
would be "Location: Paul Sawyier Public Library, Frankfort". This will
make everything easily searchable. Then any updates or discussion on
that venue should fall into responses under that subject line. Please
try to keep such emails limited to discussion of only that venue. That
way we don't get confused about "where was the stuff about XYZ?" later
on.
If you've got a location to check out, make sure someone else isn't
already doing that. It confuses a venue when multiple people become the
"point of contact" in their eyes.
