1. Yes, at least, I think so, after looking at my email history on an
account I had stopped using. I don't recall when I joined, if I did. It
would have been in recent years. I certainly haven't been active or
dedicated, yet. I haven't been a member of another party, formally,
ever, I'm pretty sure.
2. No, I don't think I'm a current member. I will likely join soon,
especially if this opportunity to help out develops further.
3. I would like to help LP leaders continue to improve the logical
consistency, readability, and motivational impact of the Libertarian
Party Platform. I care about ideas, and while the ideas in the platform
are pretty timeless, their time is especially timely now.
4. I am a current "Voting Member" of an economic research nonprofit. A
year or two ago I was invited to serve on a governance committee, and
tried to help out. I missed one meeting given teaching responsibilities,
and the leader of that committee asked me to consider stepping aside,
perhaps a longer story there. After I left that committee, the Chair of
the Board of Trustees of the organization asked me to serve as a member
of the Board of Trustees, and I recently accepted his invitation to run
for election to that committee, but was not elected. In recent days,
however, I tried to help out with a productive idea for their "Bylaws
Review Committee," a new bylaw, and after some back-and-forth with a
significant member of that committee, that member thanked me and put the
proposed new bylaw out for consideration by the voting membership.
I can share references, CV, etc., if you like. Also, here's a copy of
today's version of a daily newsletter I do on government financial
issues.

I'd just like to reiterate my enthusiasm for this role, should it arise.
I might be a good party leader, and/or candidate, down the line.
