[LPIL - Board of Directors] 2023 Convention Meeting

Hello All,

We had our first meeting for the 2023 State Convention. Future meetings 
will have an agenda sent out beforehand for folks to know the topics of 
discussion. To note, this is our presidential delegate nominating 
convention for the 2024 presidential race. We will be spending around 
$19,000 on this convention and need all the help we can get for its 
successful planning and execution. Please reach out if you have interest 
in joining the team.

Topics Covered
1. Committee members interested
2. Future meeting(s) time/dates. Our next meeting is in 2 weeks on 
Tuesday January 24th at 8pm.
3. Roles/Duties have started to be selected for members. We currently 
have Ken Mattes as Secretary, Russ Clark for Rules, and Geri Mulso is 
contacting the hotel for dates.
4. We will be having this convention at the following venue due to 
previous discussions with hotel management and our ability to get local 
media coverage with Steve Suess.

5. Guest speakers, training or breakout sessions, and business being 
done at the convention
6. Starting a Facebook messenger group to discuss between all committee 
members

If you have any interest in helping with the convention then please 
reach out to me and we will get you involved. We are still looking for a 
convention chair. Please let me know if you are interested in the role 
and I can go through what is expected as a volunteer in said role.
