[LPIL - Board of Directors] Resignation as Membership Director

Hello All,

Please accept my resignation as Membership Director effective today, Dec 
3, 2023.  Six and a half years in this role is more than enough, and I 
frankly should have ended my run several months ago.  It is in the best 
interests of the Libertarian Party of Illinois for someone more 
dedicated to the role than I have been for the last several months (and 
I apologize for that) to take on this task and redefine it to take 
better advantage of CiviCRM.

I have completed all new member mailings up to 27 November.  Tracking 
the new LPIL memberships in CiviCM, there were only five new members 
added in November (another five signed up that were/are already LPIL 
members), and I expect that December sign-ups will also be very slow.  
As such, I figure my departure at this time will cause minimal backlog 
for whoever takes over the position.

Please let me know (via email at kmahoney_okst81 at yahoo.com) who takes 
over as membership director and I will email them some instructions, 
historical documents and spreadsheets for their use. I will also send 
them all the remaining supplies for the new member welcome packages and 
membership cards.  FYSA, there are not that many supplies left -- the 
tri-fold brochures will have to be restocked very soon, as well as 
envelopes and mailing labels.  I do have a good supply of blank 
self-laminating membership cards, however.

I appreciate and thank you for all the great experiences and fine people 
that I have met over the past six years.  However, I do not intend to 
participate in any future party activities.  You do need to find an 
energetic, dedicated person to help rebuild what once was a vibrant 
Metro-East chapter.  I’m sorry that I cannot recommend anyone, but I 
wish you all the best of luck in that and other future efforts.
