[Lpganationaldelegates2018] Fwd: Re: Chair nominees

I think the biggest thing to remember is what the chair does. I really like
Josh, but he would make a bad chair, for the same things I like him for.

The Chair is the Chairman of the committee. Their job is to run the meeting
and keep things moving productively. They are the 'leader' but they are
supposed to be more the manager of the committee who is the real power.

The best analogy for this is a Captain and the crew. The crew makes the
ship work, the captain merely steers it. But when the Captain gives and
'order' who does he give it to? Not the crew, but the first mate. THAT is
the person to runs around making sure everything is getting done and is
reporting to the captain.

Nick understands how to be a Captain. Josh would make an amazing first
mate. Josh would be an excellent person to be going around keeping up with
the committees, whipping up votes and support, proposing measures... all
things the Chair would/should never directly do.

Chairs ask "I would like to hear a motion on X", not "I would like to make
a motion on X"

Personal note, I do not want a Chairman under the Trump administration to
have the high-and-tight-haircut. Just like the mini-stasche, the look has
been ruined by nazi's. I already can hear the late night comedians
punchlines tearing at the party for getting a Richard Spencer look a like
to be our spokesperson. For the love of god change your hair style sir. I
do not need more fuels to a fire we spend way too much time putting out
thanks to other individuals that want to associate with the party. Hell, I
should run for Chair just under the platform: hire a PR manager. This is
politics, optics are 90% of the game. Stop making it worse.
