New Delegate/Alternate Orientation

With many other last minute tasks at hand the COC has not had a chance to plan a delegate orientation session so I would like to invite first time delegates/alternates to join the LPIN session scheduled for June 23rd starting at 1:00 pm EDT.

The session will include an overview of the convention schedule, how to get registered and credentialed, what to expect during the business meeting (with an overview of Roberts Rules of Order), what to do with the tokens you get a registration and much more.

There will be no fashion advice on what to wear to the Outright Libertarian Masquerade Ball nor advice on how to survive late night hospitality suites and be functional for business the next morning. We are the party of personal responsibility, remember!

The session will be conducted by LPIN State Chair Tim Maguire with the help of Sam Goldstein, Mark Rutherford and Joe Hauptmann.

If you are a first time delegate/alternate and want to attend the session on-line, please send me a PM or email at sam.goldstein at lp.org and I'll send you the sign on information. We only have about 88 spots open at this time so first come first served!

Also, the Libertarian Party Radical Caucus is having a "new delegate" orientation at their suite in the convention hotel on Sunday afternoon (tentatively). Specifics on that one will be forthcoming.
I also have seen that someone else is planning to have a "new delegate" orientation at the convention hotel on Saturday morning, but have not seen any more notice of it.

New Delegate Orientation Reminder

The LPIN still has about 60 slots open for our training session on June 23rd. This will present very valuable information for those who have not attended a national convention.

The online orientation will be on the Zoom meeting platform beginning at 1:00 pm EDT. If you are within driving range of Indianapolis you are welcome to attend in person at the Antelope Club located downtown at 615 N Delaware St.
