Hello,

I will not be at Tuesday's meeting but want to provide an update for the
committee. I have been working with the people in Pickens County this month
in efforts to get their affiliation started. They have submitted the
paperwork and, if all is in order, it should be up for a vote on Tuesday.
They are extremely motivated and I have every reason to believe that they
will be an active affiliation that will be a valuable contribution to the
LP. Many thanks to Jay Guidry and the Forsyth County affiliation for
giving them such a warm welcome and for the guidance that they provided.
Thanks also to Bobby Rouse for always being willing to travel and lend me a
hand getting people motivated when need be, though they didn't need us this
time.

Lee Pence, who is heading up the Pickens Co. efforts, mentioned that they
had gone to the Cobb County Fair in hopes of finding the Libertarian table
there and having a chat. I thought that those of you in Cobb County might
wish to know that you were missed and that your efforts in the past at this
event did not go unnoticed.

We have several counties with people who are willing and able to start
affiliations, we just need additional members in order to have the minimum.
If anyone knows people in Lumpkin, Cherokee, Monroe/Bibb, or Laurens
Counties please send them my way.

The people who were spearheading the LaGrange effort seem to have fizzled.
I'm going to touch base with some others that were on the list to see if
they would like to pick it back up.

Kind Regards,
Elizabeth Melton
