Hey Team,

Happy May! I just wanted to send out an email with a few updated items
as well as a few things we need to update in the budget.

BALLOT ACCESS LAWSUIT FUNDRAISING:

We have collected $5,767.86 so far. We have another $3,220 pledged, but
that hasn't been donated yet. That total is $8,987.86. Our goal is
$15,000 so we still have quite a ways to go. As of now, we owe Bryan
Sells $8,945.66. Please donate if you haven't.

LPHQ(National Staff) have offered us quite a bit of assistance in our
efforts. You probably saw the email go out from national about our
fundraising. New Executive Director, Dan Fishman, has also been phone
banking on our behalf. Finally, they are sending us a check for $1,000
from their discretionary funds.

We are still awaiting help from the LNC.

FILING FEES REFUNDED:

We received our filing fee refund of 75% of the filing fees paid by
candidates in the last election cycle. This was $22,700.98 and it was
deposited directly into our Leveling Fund.

MOTION 1:

Last month, I took all of our CiviCRM contacts and imported them into
MailChimp. Our contact list grew by quite a bit, and the open rate
increased as well. We ended up raising over $1,000 with the new list.
With that being said, the monthly cost of Mailchimp has gone up from $75
to $90.

I make a motion to amend the budget to increase the monthly expenditure
for Mailchimp to be $90. Still need a second, and then we'll set up an
email ballot for each motion.

MOTION 2:

Storage expenses went up from $57 a month to $59 a month.

I make a motion to amend the budget to increase the monthly expenditure
for storage to $59.

MOTION 3:

Three of our candidates in 2018 paid the entirety of their filing fees,
John Turpish, Martin Cowen, and me. We made the disbursements because it
was promised back to those candidates then, but it wasn't properly
included in the budget. We need to amend the budget to account for
disbursing $9,260.15 in total back to these candidates.

I make a motion to amend the budget to add a leveling fund expenditure
of $9,260.15 to reflect disbursement of filing fees back to those
candidates who paid the full amount.

It's worth noting that John Turpish has already donated the entirety of
his disbursement back to the LP Georgia, so we welcome him as our latest
Lifetime member. That donation was split three ways evenly among the
Operations fund, Leveling fund, and the Ballot Access Lawsuit fund. I
also made a donation of $1,000 towards the ballot access lawsuit and
have become a LPGa Lifetime member.
