LPIL SCC Meeting and Delegate Briefing 5/13 7:30 PM
Our state Chair Bill Redpath has decided to call an emergency meeting of the State Central Committee for Monday 5/13 at 7:30 PM. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss Illinois' place in the regional structure of the Libertarian National Committee. We are facing at least two choices which will be discussed. As this matter relates to the Illinois Delegation (delegates typically vote on regional representation at the national convention), I am also extending this invitation to those members of the delegation who are not on the SCC. Please send any additional agenda items prior to 5/12. -- Ken Mattes Secretary, Libertarian Party of Illinois secretary@lpillinois.org 815 342 5177
Hello fellow members. I'm happy to see this increase in participation, but it's sad that it happened the way that it did. Regarding additional agenda items, I'm putting forward the following motion: MOTION (Mattes) calling for the Executive Committee of the Libertarian Party of Illinois to immediately take action to regain access to and control of any and all social media assets which are branded as official accounts of the Libertarian Party of Illinois. RATIONALE: We have suffered from complete vacancy of our Social Media team for a long time. This vacancy is preventing us from effectively communicating. Matters such as regional representation are among the many things that LPIL should be actively discussing on every platform possible. I'd like your input and your sponsorship. BTW Henry Wissmiller is looking for a ride to the convention if anyone has an extra seat. On 2024-05-07 21:13, Ken Mattes wrote:

I’ll second this, Mr Secretary. We have well-defined roles for all divisions in the Policy Manual but to the extent we need to explicitly define how to assume (pro-tem) roles when there are vacancies, I would fully support and doing so with clarity on who assumes these roles may also drive incentives for those wearing extra hats (and the STate membership as a whole) to grow more state volunteers/members . We are only in this predicament because we failed to grow our membership sufficiently - for a state our size - in recent years. Mr Secretary, I wholeheartedly agree, may I co-sponsor the motion? Very Respectfully, Ray Walden IV On 2024-05-09 09:37, Bob Blair Smith II wrote:
