Bob, I assume you are familiar with regedit. If you are not, don't do this. Let me know if it is already ZERO.
START RUN TYPE 'REGEDIT'
Follow this path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/OFFICE/COMMON/MAILSETTINGS
Find DISABLESIGNATURES. If the value is set to 1, then this is your problem.
RIGHT CLICK ON DISABLESIGNATURES, SELECT MODIFY, CHANGE THE VALUE TO 0 (ZERO). This will turn off the DisableSignature function.
Close the Registry Editor and check Your Outlook. The button should no longer be grayed out.
Hope this helps!!!

Morning, Kelly!
Being an Outlook / gmail person most of my working career I have not used RoundCube / Thunderbird mail platform so I have a very simple noob question:
I went to mail settings to see if I could have a signature below my new messages and replies, but it seems to not include a pre-set text field for my signature, and on this draft the Signature option appears to be greyed out for me.
Can I set my LP Illinois mail settings to automatically use a pre-set signature? Thank you!
