I want to add a motion to the SCC agenda. I want to move to replace the first paragraph of the Libertarian Party of Illinois Chapters chapter (page 5) of the Policy and Operations Manual of the Board of Directors with the following paragraph: "Local activism and fellowship will be done by regional affiliates called Chapters, which will be closely aligned with political divisions such as Libertarian County Central Committees. In places where a Chapter does not exist or has become dormant, the Chapter Development Director may appoint an Organizer for a region with majority approval of the Board of Directors to facilitate Chapter formation within that region. Chapters will have at least five members and a set of bylaws. New Chapters must be approved by a majority vote of the Board of Directors. Support for the creation and growth of chapters will be provided by the Chapter Development Director. It will be the goal of the chapters to have regular monthly meetings and active community outreach; such as participation in parades, public forums, Libertarian campaigns for office, and other activities as each individual chapter sees fit.
