There are a few things I'd like to discuss with the Treasurer offline regarding some of the donations. My donors brought in $502.70 in August thanks to several large donations and $167.25 in September. Cook County ballots in at least one precinct do not give the option to vote for Michael Murphy, the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court candidate. We are waiting to hear back from the Clerk County Clerk's attorney to find out more. If you have a Cook County mail-in ballot that does not give an option to vote for our candidates, call the Cook County Clerk's office. Chris Laurent appeared on Hard Lens Media's morning YouTube show yesterday to discuss the misprinted ballots. E-mails to the general list went out regarding the slate and announcing the Chicagoland Election Night Watch Party, happening on Nov. 5. Food and drinks were provided. I sent out a press release announcing our slate of candidates. Craig Dellamore read it and asked to interview Kopinski but Kopinski was admitted to the hospital. I served jury duty, so I missed the Cato Institute program last week. Jury duty was an eye-opening experience and I recommend everyone do it if they can. I attended the fundraiser for Chris Laurent last Saturday with Tsatsoulis and Humay. Please consider donations to Libertarian candidates. Candidates who are fundraising can see me to send an e-mail out to our list as I did in previous election cycles. The task force created last meeting drafted flyers and the Oliver / ter Maat campaign expressed no objections. The task force has hundreds of flyers ready to distribute. The Facebook campaign is the next step. I will be running a write-in candidacy for State Rep in the 39th House District. Write in Justin Tucker if that is your district. My opponent is Will Guzzardi who voted for HB4488. I start classes toward a Paralegal Certificate from DePaul University on Oct. 29. I want to use my certificate for liberty. EMAIL BALLOT Motion on Resolution

We have an electronic mail ballot presented by the Chair per the bylaws of LPIL Article V section G. All VOTES are due in (6) business days (by February 3, 2025 at 6:00 PM Central) at which time the ballot will close, unless everyone votes or expressly abstains in which case the ballot will close early. ***PLEASE NOTE per our bylaws, the open voting period is the first two business days after issuance of the ballots. Votes can be cast after that time but not changed. ================================================================== Motion by Jim Humay (amended) WHEREAS, the right to bear arms is enshrined in the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution, affirming that "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed"; and WHEREAS, the current patchwork of concealed carry laws across different states creates confusion, potential legal issues for law-abiding citizens, and hampers the free exercise of this fundamental right when individuals travel interstate; and WHEREAS, United States H.R. 38, the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, introduced by Representative Richard Hudson, aims to ensure that any person with a valid concealed carry permit from one state may carry in another state that allows concealed carry, thereby respecting the constitutional rights of citizens across state lines; and WHEREAS, this legislation would promote uniformity and clarity in the rights of individuals to defend themselves, thereby enhancing personal safety and reducing the risk of legal entanglements due to differing state regulations; and WHEREAS, the Libertarian Party fundamentally supports the reduction of government overreach and the protection of individual liberties, including the right to self-defense; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Libertarian Party of Illinois: Endorses United States H.R. 38, the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, recognizing it as a critical step towards ensuring the Second Amendment rights are uniformly acknowledged and respected across the United States. Encourages its members and supporters to contact their federal representatives to advocate for the passage of United States H.R. 38, explaining the importance of this legislation for safeguarding constitutional liberties. Calls upon all state and local officials to support similar measures that align with the principles of individual rights and state recognition of concealed carry permits from other states. Commits to educating the public on the benefits of concealed carry reciprocity for promoting safety, liberty, and consistency in the application of constitutional rights. Urges the Illinois legislature to consider state-level policies that complement the objectives of United States H.R. 38, ensuring that Illinois residents and visitors have clear, fair, and constitutionally consistent rights to bear arms.
