Interestingly, we could end up helping the Republican Party in 2016.   If,  because of a strong Libertarian vote,  no candidate wins a majority of the electorial college, the Republican controlled House of Representatives then gets to decide who becomes president.  And it will not be Hillary, Trump or even a Libertarian.  So we could win a record Libertarian vote, and cause America to be handed over to a minority backed establishment Republican President.   Humm, what an interesting year this will be.
