Please make your hotel reservations today if possible. See below. My current plan for the December meeting is to open up the office on Friday all day for all arriving LNC members and out of town guests. We'll have a small amount of snacks and things. Perhaps one of our LNC members will *cook a pot of chili *or something for Friday evening or we could order pizza occasionally as wanted. Basically, I'd like to make everyone feel welcome to stay at the office as their primary location Friday, but of course, groups may want to head out to some of the restaurants close by. On Saturday evening, I'd like to have a more formal "2016 Celebration at LPHQ" complete with lots of catered barbecue, remarks from our chair, and lots of noisy libertarians filling up the place. I'd like to charge $20 for the Saturday evening event to help cover the cost of food and drinks. Sunday, after the LNC meeting adjourns, I plan to serve as a tour guide for D.C. Depending on the weather, we'll either do a walking tour of the major monuments, or if it's too cold, we'll visit a Smithsonian or two. Sam, let's make it work somehow. The basement has fridge, sink and microwave. No oven or stove. Plenty of table space. Can I get a portable cook top, burner, crock pot, or something along those lines? My apartment is not far, but i can't guarantee that space without consulting others. Maybe can use clubhouse kitchen or if weather is like it has been lately, there are three outdoor gas grills with a few burners too. Tell me what you need--we will figure it out. Pots, pans, sauté, etc. I think we can make it work at the office. Plus we have a great fire alarm system. Sent from my iPad

My current plan for the December meeting is to open up the office on Friday all day for all arriving LNC members and out of town guests. We'll have a small amount of snacks and things. Perhaps one of our LNC members will cook a pot of chili or something for Friday evening or we could order pizza occasionally as wanted. Basically, I'd like to make everyone feel welcome to stay at the office as their primary location Friday, but of course, groups may want to head out to some of the restaurants close by.
On Saturday evening, I'd like to have a more formal "2016 Celebration at LPHQ" complete with lots of catered barbecue, remarks from our chair, and lots of noisy libertarians filling up the place. I'd like to charge $20 for the Saturday evening event to help cover the cost of food and drinks.
Sunday, after the LNC meeting adjourns, I plan to serve as a tour guide for D.C. Depending on the weather, we'll either do a walking tour of the major monuments, or if it's too cold, we'll visit a Smithsonian or two.
I'm open to suggestions, but want to make a plan soon so we can start letting people know about it.

Wes, I can buy all the supplies at the Ho Foods close to the office. I'll need a one-burner cook top of some type or I suppose I can use the outdoor gas grill. Is there a clubhouse for the office? That would be ideal if they have a full kitchen. I'll need as large a stock pot as you think we will need. We can consult further as you get RSVPs and a head count. My current plan for the December meeting is to open up the office on Friday all day for all arriving LNC members and out of town guests. We'll have a small amount of snacks and things. Perhaps one of our LNC members will *cook a pot of chili *or something for Friday evening or we could order pizza occasionally as wanted. Basically, I'd like to make everyone feel welcome to stay at the office as their primary location Friday, but of course, groups may want to head out to some of the restaurants close by.
On Saturday evening, I'd like to have a more formal "2016 Celebration at LPHQ" complete with lots of catered barbecue, remarks from our chair, and lots of noisy libertarians filling up the place. I'd like to charge $20 for the Saturday evening event to help cover the cost of food and drinks.
Sunday, after the LNC meeting adjourns, I plan to serve as a tour guide for D.C. Depending on the weather, we'll either do a walking tour of the major monuments, or if it's too cold, we'll visit a Smithsonian or two.
I'm open to suggestions, but want to make a plan soon so we can start letting people know about it.

My current plan for the December meeting is to open up the office on Friday all day for all arriving LNC members and out of town guests. We'll have a small amount of snacks and things. Perhaps one of our LNC members will *cook a pot of chili *or something for Friday evening or we could order pizza occasionally as wanted. Basically, I'd like to make everyone feel welcome to stay at the office as their primary location Friday, but of course, groups may want to head out to some of the restaurants close by.
On Saturday evening, I'd like to have a more formal "2016 Celebration at LPHQ" complete with lots of catered barbecue, remarks from our chair, and lots of noisy libertarians filling up the place. I'd like to charge $20 for the Saturday evening event to help cover the cost of food and drinks.
Sunday, after the LNC meeting adjourns, I plan to serve as a tour guide for D.C. Depending on the weather, we'll either do a walking tour of the major monuments, or if it's too cold, we'll visit a Smithsonian or two.
I'm open to suggestions, but want to make a plan soon so we can start letting people know about it.

My current plan for the December meeting is to open up the office on Friday all day for all arriving LNC members and out of town guests. We'll have a small amount of snacks and things. Perhaps one of our LNC members will *cook a pot of chili *or something for Friday evening or we could order pizza occasionally as wanted. Basically, I'd like to make everyone feel welcome to stay at the office as their primary location Friday, but of course, groups may want to head out to some of the restaurants close by.
On Saturday evening, I'd like to have a more formal "2016 Celebration at LPHQ" complete with lots of catered barbecue, remarks from our chair, and lots of noisy libertarians filling up the place. I'd like to charge $20 for the Saturday evening event to help cover the cost of food and drinks.
Sunday, after the LNC meeting adjourns, I plan to serve as a tour guide for D.C. Depending on the weather, we'll either do a walking tour of the major monuments, or if it's too cold, we'll visit a Smithsonian or two.
I'm open to suggestions, but want to make a plan soon so we can start letting people know about it.

A group of friends, and out of town guests, are planning on having a bit of a party after the chilli fest - can anyone recommend a good local bar? Or does the hotel have one? My current plan for the December meeting is to open up the office on Friday all day for all arriving LNC members and out of town guests. We'll have a small amount of snacks and things. Perhaps one of our LNC members will *cook a pot of chili *or something for Friday evening or we could order pizza occasionally as wanted. Basically, I'd like to make everyone feel welcome to stay at the office as their primary location Friday, but of course, groups may want to head out to some of the restaurants close by.
On Saturday evening, I'd like to have a more formal "2016 Celebration at LPHQ" complete with lots of catered barbecue, remarks from our chair, and lots of noisy libertarians filling up the place. I'd like to charge $20 for the Saturday evening event to help cover the cost of food and drinks.
Sunday, after the LNC meeting adjourns, I plan to serve as a tour guide for D.C. Depending on the weather, we'll either do a walking tour of the major monuments, or if it's too cold, we'll visit a Smithsonian or two.
I'm open to suggestions, but want to make a plan soon so we can start letting people know about it.
