Dear All, My intent is to gavel in the convention at 5:00 pm Austin time on May 22, with a goal of getting through the initial credentials report and adoption of the agenda, then resuming at 10:00 am Austin time on May 23. A more detailed statement will be going out later today once I work with Mr. Fishman and after his call with the Zoom representatives this afternoon that will answer some of our questions. If you have any questions or concerns that you would like to see answered or addressed in a statement to the delegates and the public, please let me know what they are. It is also our intent to have sessions Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday where delegates can come in and participate in the space, using the parliamentary procedure of Robert's Rules to debate important questions, such as “Is a hot dog a sandwich,” and vote by state delegation on pressing issues of the day, such as “Which fast food chain has the best french fries.” All of these events will be streamed as well, so if people are unable to participate, they can at least see what it looks like. As I told staff in the standup meeting this morning, everything is going to be great and we are going to make this a success. Yours truly, Nick
