I wanted to share a quick membership analysis with you. As you know, LP National runs membership promotions to help boost our member numbers.

In 2018, Andy Burns assisted with creating a membership promotion form with tiered gifts (LP.org/join-the-lp).  At the Bronze Member ($50) level, we placed a tshirt since the cost for shirts can range between $7-$13. When factoring in shipping and operational costs, it makes the most sense to offer a shirt with membership at the Bronze level.

Please take a look at the simple analysis attached. When comparing the membership promotion versus the LP.org/join form (no gift offered), the propensity to upgrade from Basic to Bronze nearly doubles.

Our membership programs (monthly giving and one-time annual) bring in 50-70% of the LP's monthly revenue so it is very important to review effective approaches at bringing in new members and encouraging higher levels of giving.
