That was my post Ken. My mistake - it is in the Declaration. A tired mistake that is part of being human. That could have been posted by a Amy volunteer though. As a lead volunteer with the FB page can I ask that in the future this be addressed privately first? If one of my volunteers got publicly called out like this by an LNC member I would be pretty upset. I apologize for my error. I do know the difference. "Any volunteer" not Amy volunteer. Also in the future these concerns should be addressed to the APRC. On Thu, Dec 29, 2016 at 11:50 AM Caryn Ann Harlos <carynannharlos@gmail.com> wrote:

I don't know who posted what ... All I see is that it was posted there. It wasn't meant to be personal. I did mention it because I wish to start a conversation about the FB page. There's a lot of conversation about the public image we put out from our website. It's legitimate discussion, and it should be had. We should always put our best foot forward, and have consistent branding and marketing. I think it would be worth considering the extension of similar policies over to the Facebook page. And really, it should extend to any place where any of us are speaking in our capacity as leaders in the party, and especially any place where we speak as the party itself. Maybe there should be a three-person gatekeeping process: before anything is posted, 2 other people review it for errors or omissions or whatever. I'm open to ideas, but I seem to recall there have been several incidents in the past that could have been completely avoided if we had a gatekeeping process. Just a thought, anyway. --- Ken C. There is a gatekeeping process with the APRC. But again, human beings are involved which means that over hundreds and hundreds of posting some errors will be made. On Thu, Dec 29, 2016 at 12:07 PM, Ken Moellman <ken.moellman@lpky.org> wrote:

As a point of reference, some days there are ten postings. I have been a social media volunteer for about 18 months now - probably about 4400 or so postings have gone up on our page since that time. I can think of 5 or less (certainly under 10) that had any real problem. I am sorry but that is very good, and I can think of multiple ones caught ahead of time, just as they should. The process works. It isn't perfect. Perfection isn't possible though we shoot for it. -- *In Liberty,* *Caryn Ann Harlos* Region 1 Representative, Libertarian National Committee (Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Kansas, Montana, Utah, Wyoming, Washington) - Caryn.Ann. Okay, so there's a process in place. I certainly understand that human error can happen. It sounds like this might be a rehash of an issue already addressed, then, and it sounds like it is all within APRC. So I'd only ask APRC to review their procedures, to see if they can come up with a way to improve their processes. And I'll leave it at that. --- Ken C.

I have to agree with Caryn Ann that out of ~4400 posts in the last 18 months, our "issue rate" was pretty darn impressive. Even if it were a dozen "problem posts," that's .3% (rounded up). Brett C.
