Using Slack for Large Meetings
Was reflecting on last nights “Mock Convention” and there were things that went better than expected and things that didn’t. In The aim of providing solutions because regardless of the short run outcome we will have to consider these types of events more and more in the future as well. In this video I show how pairing slack with Zoom can fix many of the logistical and governance issues many brought up last night. So this is only one possible idea as other similar platforms exist like Discord and Flock but figured I’d still submit it so it can be in the back of everyone’s head as to what may be possible. https://youtu.be/ANcNbO6XPOk Alex Merced Vice Chair of the Libertarian National Committee/LP
I completely agree with this. I think shutting down the chat entirely is a good idea within zoom because of the noise, and allowing people/states/caucuses etc to host their own chat channels. restricting zoom chat while using the Q&A for points of procedure, which would be monitored by a parliamentarian who would promote things that needed to be promoted and remove things that are not interruptible. --- Daniel Fishman Executive Director The Libertarian Party Join Us <http://www.lp.org/join> On Wed, May 6, 2020 at 9:00 AM Alex Merced (LNC Vice Chair) via Lnc-business <lnc-business@hq.lp.org> wrote:
