Bob asked me to send these details. I did not do this on my own. He made a specific request to me about a month ago and this is the third one I sent.I do think committee listings should be listed. But this was not my doing. I was pleased to get the direct request and felt it was the Party moving in the right direction.I am very puzzled about what was triggering about my email and would appreciate clarification.-Caryn Ann-Caryn AnnOn Mon, May 15, 2017 at 7:47 AM Wes Benedict <wes.benedict@lp.org> wrote:_______________________________________________I'm open to the possibility of listing this meeting, and all the other committee meetings on our events page: https://www.lp.org/events/
We could include details on whether or not the meeting is open to the public, or other kinds of details.
There are pros and cons to listing them:
1. The work involved (it's not that bad--would fall on Bob Johnston's plate most likely)
2. sounding a bit bureaucratic if we have a zillion committees and meetings listed (although that will show more how much work the LNC and it's subcommittees do).
3. Most people aren't going to be interested in particular meetings--on the other had, we list the state conventions and on average around 98% of our readers aren't going to be interested in a particular state convention.
Anyway, we can do it. I think in the short run I'll leave it to the respective committee chairs. If you want your committee meetings listed, start by sending a note:
To: events@lp.org
and cc: wes.benedict@lp.org
Caryn Ann's notice below triggered me. (First time I've ever used the word "triggered." I'm not sure I got the usage exactly right, but I suspect this note will trigger a few people.)
