Louisiana was the ONLY state in July to increase national membership. Every other state lost at least one. In August only Louisiana and DC gained National Memberships. About 4 or 5 states stayed the same. Every other state lost.
Now the smaller a state is the easier it is to not lose some each month. That said the larger states should have more people that can ask. In all honesty we didn't even target the most recently lapsed in La.
On another note we took in about $149k last month. A large portion of what we raised in KC came in "officially" for September. Also, I believe we had a rather significant donation from a seemingly new donor. I believe we are already over $75,000 for September. It's the 6th.
The sky is not falling.
We made a lot of moves to help with the membership contraction at the meeting in KC. It takes time for things to fully go into place.
The Sky is not falling.
Any board member concerned about this should make some renewal calls in their home state.
I have zero "concern" over these numbers. I know what needs to happen to fix them. We need to do more work.

I am encouraged to see some caucuses push for members. Of course that's not enough but as we get close to convention it can be an incentive.
