Thank you for writing. My respect and admiration for Edward Snowden couldn't be higher, but for better or for worse we have a vice-presidential nominee this year, and as for a cabinet position, that would be up to a President Gary Johnson, should we be so fortunate.

The idea of creating an informal "shadow cabinet" of individuals selected to speak out on issues having to do with their counterparts serving in high government posts has been discussed before, but not sure whether Snowden would be interested in any such capacity. He might rightly feel that he can be more effective as an advocate for civil liberties at present without formally tying himself to a particular organization. Having an open a channel of communication between the LP and the NSA whistleblower could be very useful however, if you have any idea how to reach him or can research the matter.

Why not consider Edward Snowden as VP or proposed cyber crimes secretary? Take a stand like he has done, even help bring this hero home!
The biggest issue in the land these days is loss of freedoms and cyber security crimes growing daily exponentially with controlling big brother and "his" (Republican & Democrats alike) building and growing a real, present and growing danger.

I am a party member and computer specialist loyal to Gov. Johnson, have been for years. Proposing that would/should draw TONS of needed media exposure for our party in the process, and a chance to exhibit a clearer idea to the public of what a modern day "Libertarian" is all about now....Liberty!

All other daily "news" is merely ho-hum extra distraction from real threats.
