John, it is not finger-pointing - I have been very careful to say the fault is OURS and not any one persons - mistakes happen. Nothing bad was meant - it wasn't malicious or devious. It was simply being human. -Caryn Ann On Thu, Aug 2, 2018 at 10:02 AM, john.phillips@lp.org <john.phillips@lp.org> wrote:
And this is where we disagree.
BUT at this point rehashing this discussion AGAIN is completely pointless.
Our responsibility is to fix it so it does not reoccur, not continue finger pointing like a bunch of gradeschool children.

No Whitney it is my personal position that the delegates were inadvertently unduly influenced and misled.

At the beginning of convention someone will need to move to amend the convention agenda as specified in our rules
It would behoove us to plan for that with a smooth process

Just to be clear, one way or another I hope to get it moved to the beginning of the 2020 convention rather than the end or waiting until 2022, so that it can be done and have a fully functioning JC for anything that may come up during the convention.

The delegates can take it up in 2020

PS: the official results will be announced shortly

The motion specifies that things would continue as if elected which means their term would end as per Bylaws. I explicitly anticipated that.
