There is the recognized state party in New York, which has ballot access, and complies with NYS Election Law. This group is chaired by Jim Rosenbeck, and has been operating as the successor to the "Free Libertarian Party of NY" non profit Corporation since the recognition of ballot access following the 2018 Election.
There is a shell of an organization that is the remnants of the old non profit Corporation that is holding a special convention soon, to vote on disbanding, at which point the "Libertarian Party of New York" will be the only such entity in the state, and will inherehit the accounts and contracts of the previous non profit entity.
At least this is my understanding after speaking with the state chair about it. Perhaps Mr. Merced could provide further insight.
