Looping in Bob Johnston. This is mostly clear, let me ask for a few points of clarification: For #3 and #6 can we just ask the candidate to affirm that they have met these criteria? For #4 and #5 should I will refer to the LNC to ask if a candidate's webpage/facebook meets the criteria of functional and if their photos meet the level of professional quality, or can LPHQ staff make that ruling. --- Daniel Fishman Executive Director The Libertarian Party Join Us <http://www.lp.org/join> On Mon, Oct 21, 2019 at 11:52 AM Sam Goldstein via Lnc-business < lnc-business@hq.lp.org> wrote:

My suggestion would be the requirements that were agreed on for listing on the convention website. That way we are consistent across the board

Dear LNC,
LPHQ gets a lot of questions about who our Presidential Candidates are.
I have told people that we have no official list, but that the FEC has a list of all candidates who have filed a statement of Candidacy (FEC Form 2)
https://www.fec.gov/data/candidates/president/?election_year=2020&cycle=2020...
We have a larger list of people who have contacted LPHQ and said they intend to run for President and then Bob Johnston walks them through
the
process. Most of those candidates never file.
As the number of requests heat up I'm requesting guidance from the LNC as to what the official LPHQ response should be. Should we continue to refer people to the FEC list? Would you prefer I keep a local list of everyone who contacts us and declares they are running?
Awaiting your thoughts
