NY Governor Cuomo said NY needs to come up with an answer to political petitioning. "This is not the best time to send people door to door." He doesn't know the specifics to a solution but knows it's something that has to be addressed.
Mr. Fishman sent a letter to the state of Maryland concerning ballot access petitioning when the government is pushing for social distancing. We should get proactive with Illinois, Alabama, and other states with high petitioning requirements (like AR, PA, ME, VA) and work with the state affiliates to send similar letters to the Governor and election authority in those states, seeking emergency relief from petitioning requirements since the party was on the ballot during the last election.
