My intent ti to address and recognize the spectrum of Libertarian belief on the subject while stressing empathy and that the system is the problem - and the system is our target.

I hope factionalism as I have already seen rear up in circles outside this group does not de-rail this effort.

This is focused on the military.  I did have some broad language in mind that would address some of the rest of it indirectly.

All,

I think that the LNC must take some action to calm our members, deescalate our internal conflict and affirm the great value and knowledge that members of the military bring to our Party.

I would like to craft a resolution with the assistance of other members of the LNC, to take a clear position on where we as an organization stand regarding the Libertarian Party's view on and relationship with former and current members of the military.

My intent for this resolution is to give voice to the extreme value and perspective that I believe these people bring our organization.

Many of those that have served in the military carry burdens with them for the rest of their lives.  I can only hope that one day they are able to put those burdens down.  Suicide in the military is an epidemic and not something I ever wish to possibly be part of the straw that finally makes the burden too heavy. We need them to be able to share these experiences they have with others because nobody knows how our system has gone wrong like someone that has experienced it first hand.

While this sentiment may not be directly conveyed in this resolution, this spirit of empathy is the place from which I hope to craft this resolution.

Those LNC members and alternates that wish to work with me on this should have the ability to do so over the next day or two.

Please let me know ASAP.
