Mr. Goldstein is likely already asleep at this late hour, so I'm forwarding his message for the LNC members who were not at Monday's COC meeting. Convention Update - Next to last one! On Friday, June 26th the COC was notified by Rosen Properties that their Shingle Creek property was not going to open until September. This meant that our National Convention was in jeopardy and we were in shock. During that initial discussion we were told that their Rosen Center property had never closed and they proposed moving our convention to that venue and the adjoining Orange County Convention Center. As of today we are in possession of an outline of how that will happen and hope to have a contract addendum ready for the LNC's approval within a couple days. There will be no additional costs to the Libertarian Party for this change in venue, all added costs for the Convention Center will be taken care of by Rosen Properties. We will actually have a larger main hall at 93k sq ft and more room for exhibits and breakouts. All room reservations made for Shingle Creek will be moved to an equivalent room at the Rosen Center (which was the location of our 2016 National Convention). You need not contact the hotel to change your reservation. Also, all suite upgrades and hospitality rooms will also have similar settings The COC also voted tonight to approve an addendum to the contract with AV Group that will provide a remote convention site for NY, NJ and CT delegates at Syracuse, NY based on discussions with the three state chairs. This is an option we have been working on for almost two months and had a hard deadline of today to proceed. We did with with no surety that the delegates at Orlando will authorize remote participation but with the faith that they will for delegates that cannot travel due to government constraints. Dear colleagues,Regretfully I am writing to inform you that you will be stuck with me for another term, as a clear majority of my region saw fit to punish me with another term during our regional caucus this weekend.Joking aside, I look forward to continue working with you despite the ups and downs of this last term.Alternate selection has not completed as yet. Region 1 Elections

Fellow LNC Members, Today the members of Region 1 held their caucus and elected the new representative and alternate. Their terms are effective after August 31 or after the 2020 Convention completes, whichever comes first, per our Regional Agreement. While I will retain the seat until that time, I will be pushing for Francis to cast many more of the votes for the Region as my alternate so that he may begin representing the region fully now, rather than in a few weeks. The new Region 1 Representative will be Francis Wendt, currently Region 1 Alternate. The new Region 1 Alternate will be Chris Luchini, currently state chair of New Mexico. Special thanks to Dan Fishman for the technical support and suggestions.
