I felt that a decision had to be made to cancel this weekend's LNC meeting. Likewise, I have decided formally and officially on the following weekend as our new date. Unfortunately, we basically have two groups - those who got to Dallas, and those who could not. If I had waited and we discussed when we would or could reschedule, this would have deprived the latter group from using the storm as leverage for changing flights without additional cost. My flight had already been rebooked for tomorrow, and I was able to get a full refund, and will drive instead This option would have disappeared for me and others with the introduction of a delay to poll the LNC members. I am more than willing to make a contribution towards "sharing" additional costs to those who made it to Dallas, and I am sorry for the hassle and cost involved. Geoffrey Neale

LNC, I would like to make the following motion, and am seeking cosponsors (as well as any adjustments to the language that may be necessary). "Dues paying members of the National Libertarian Party will be able to attend, speak, and vote at all business meetings at the 2014 Libertarian National Convention, without paying any floor fees." -Arvin

I have canceled the 12/7-8 meeting in Dallas. I am officially announcing that the LNC will meet in Dallas at the same venue on 12/4-15, 2013. Thirteen of the LNC have reported that they can make this meeting. Geoffrey Neale

Rich, I just got the first tentative convention budget tonight and have not had much time to review it. I'm assuming that a motion to approve the budget for the convention will be made at some point during the LNC meeting so the CMC can proceed with detailed convention planning. Dallas LNC meeting proposed agenda

Attached. I had this almost ready a few days ago, but needed confirmation from Mr. Sinawski about his availability before I sent this out. For the record, my proposed agenda is in conflict with the "canned" agenda in the Policy Manual. I am willing to prepare two, as I have done before, or you can just assume that the "canned" agenda is an alternate option, but we have yet to follow the "canned" agenda during this term. I have done my best to set the priorities in accordance with the big picture requirements of this meeting, with budget as priority one, and the Audit Committee as priority two, even though they do not follow in that order.
