As a reminder, there's a Rules Comm meeting tonight. I made tweaks and edits to the two proposals tabled last time. They are here:

District Cleanup - https://docs.google.com/document/d/10AtqeBms1w49X0aQd-RCaqWz2r9GFAb6nO04ZTTDR4Q/edit

Cumulative Voting - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tM6HQRzkUhRn5eaS70VSsBui2CFSPoMEvZg8bBKeTAQ/edit

Question: Is there appetite for considering changing the structure of the party so that county chairs elect a state board? I can write it all up, but it's a lot of work and before I get too deep into it I would like to see if there's an appetite to even consider it.

The rationale is that there's now a disconnect between counties and state, and this would directly link them together. It would also continue to shift the focus of the party toward County Party affiliation and growth, and continue to de-centralize the state party. The overall summary is that County Party chairs would act as a State Party Central Committee (and Vice-Chairs as their alternates). They would regularly meet quarterly, and have two (or three) jobs: (1) hire/fire the State Party Executive Committee; (2) approve the annual state party budget; and (3) potentially call a state party special convention.
