following Resolution: <br>

WHEREAS, Extending an invitation to former President Trump to speak at <br>
the 2024 National Convention was a consternation to the hard-working <br>
activists in the Libertarian Party. <br>

WHEREAS, The 2024 National Convention is intended to nominate and <br>
promote the Libertarian Presidential candidate, rather than provide a <br>
platform for an opposing candidate or party to campaign. <br>
<br>
WHEREAS, Hosting this speech would be disrespectful to the Libertarian <br>
Presidential candidates in addition to many LPIL activists who are <br>
contributing countless hours petitioning for ballot access on behalf <br>
of the Party's future nominee. <br>
<br>
BE IT RESOLVED, The Libertarian Party of Illinois calls on the <br>
Libertarian National Committee to rescind its invitation to former <br>
President Trump along with all other invitations to opposing <br>
Presidential candidates to speak at the 2024 Libertarian National <br>
Convention. The Libertarian Party of Illinois firmly stands with other <br>
state affiliates that have voiced their grievances regarding political <br>
