Chair of the LPIL relatively soon. The bylaws on this matter read as <br>

event of the State Chair’s<br>
death, removal, resignation, inability to act, permanent absence, or <br>
other vacancy of the office<br>
until a new State Chair is elected and qualified. In such case, the <br>
Secretary (Ken Mattes) shall within fourteen<br>
(14) days after the vacancy arises, call a meeting of the Central <br>
Committee to be held within<br>
sixty (60) days, but not less than seven (7) days, after the vacancy <br>
arises for the purpose of<br>
electing a new State Chair to fill the unexpired term arising from the <br>
vacancy."</p>
<p dir="ltr">So in short, a scheduled meeting announcement will go out within two <br>
weeks after Chase's resignation, and the meeting will need to take place <br>
within 7 to 60 days post the resignation.</p>
<p dir="ltr">I would like to motion that the SCC call a separate "special meeting", <br>
as pursuant to our bylaws, soon. I think we should have a conversation <br>
about exploring potential candidates to fill the Chair position. For a <br>
"Special meeting" to be called at least another four members of the SCC <br>
will need to second this motion. If you would like to second the motion <br>
reply all to this email with your second. If the motion is carried, I <br>
will send out another email with the time and date decided for the <br>
meeting to take place, in the near future.</p>
